I was confused for a while about whether or not I should include comics in this reading journal but then I thought ‘It’s my reading journal and I’ll do what I like.
There’s also the fact that comics are like a gateway drug for books. You start with Wolverine and before you know it you’re main lining Tolstoy. It’s all good.
Here we have Tomie by Junji Ito the renowned horror mangaka known for other works like Uzumaki, Gyo and The Enigma of Amigara Fault (check them out — they’re super disturbing) telling a lovely story about a girl every one loves to murder. Seriously. That’s the entire plot.
It’s still really good though.
